FOR CLASSES ON THE WEBSITE

Hello Everyone,

I just finished posting classes for May 2026. With College Graduations and other commitments I can only do 2 classes until sometime in June but I promise to schedule some as soon as I can.

I know there have been some problems with the website and confirmations going out. In addition some people were not getting the Newsletters they signed up for. I apologize for that. My wonderful IT guy (Kevin/husband) and web designer (Dan) have been working to correct the problems.

When registering for a class if you do not receive an almost immediate confirmation please email me at janice@paintingbug.com. It may not have gone through correctly.

When you register for a class you will get 2 reminders. One at 4 days before the class and another the day before class.

Also, if you try to register for a class and it's "Sold Out" email me. I may be able to add another person or let you know if there's a cancellation.

See you soon,

Janice

All classes are $50 which includes all supplies.

We will take a short break during class so bring a snack if you'd like. Water, coffee and tea are provided. Also, there is a small refridgerator if you need to keep anything cold. Weather permitting we can have our break on the new deck.

Class times are 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. However, the 1:00 pm end time may vary depending on the painting and pace of the class.

Keep in mind that you'll be going home with a wet oil painting that will need to lay flat in the car. Some people use a large pizza box (bigger than 16 x 20) or you can purchase wet canvas carriers online.

Class size is limited to 6 - 8 students, depending on the painting.

If you've registered for a class and are unable to attend please let me know as soon as possible so I can release your spot to someone else.

Artist Tip:

Take care of your brushes.   Make sure you clean them thoroughly.  I've found that standing brushes up after they've been cleaned will help drain out more of the thinner.

Also, make sure to clean the handles of your brushes.

The average time for an oil painting to dry, when painted in the wet-on-wet technique, can be two to three weeks to the touch and up to about six months to one year to dry completely.
