Upcoming Classes:

Northern Lights:   We'll use a black canvas prepped with Alizarin Crimson, Phthalo Blue and Phthalo Green to create the beautiful colors of the Northern Lights.

Paint-N-Party: Tranquil full moon winter scene.

BLACK FRIDAY:   A Sno-Globe on a dark canvas filled with a snowy winter scene.  Sparkles are an option. 2018 is written on the stand.

In addition to the Sno-Globe I will have various surfaces to paint winter and/or holiday scenes on.   These are great for gifts. I will have ceramic tiles, mirrors, small canvases and a couple of other items to choose from.  You can also bring your own surface if you want something different.

Christmas Stocking:   I haven't done this painting in quite a few years.  It features a vintage christmas stocking filled with white flowers.

In Other News:
A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to attend a Kevin Hill workshop in Massachusetts.   Many of you may know him from his Youtube channel. It was a great workshop and a lot of fun. Kevin is a great guy and a very patient teacher. He makes sure everyone was given the attention they needed and that all our questions were answered.

Kevin's Mom, Dad and brother were there to make sure we had all the paint, paper towels, praise and encouragement we needed.  Kevins' wife Sophie and his little boy Miles were also there.   Sophie checks in students and takes care of the brush and DVD sales. Miles gives lots of smiles and is the cutest thing ever. Check out Kevins website to see some of the pictures from the workshop.

As an added benefit I had the opportunity to take a semi-private lesson with Kevin.  There was just one other student so we both got lots of attention. I learned a lot and will definitely incorporate some of his style in my own paintings.

It was a great 4 days of painting and learning.  As I said before Kevin is a very patient teacher and a really, really nice guy who cares about everyone's success.   I'll definitely be taking more classes from him.

Thanks to Diane Ryan for giving me the information on this workshop.
