In Other News:   
I'm very excited to announce that I will be teaching a 5 day workshop at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY. The dates are July 1, 2019 through July 5, 2019. Landscape, Floral and Wildlife paintings will be taught during this week.
I will post more on this workshop painting as the dates get closer. I believe registration starts in March.

PAINTING TIPS:

Solid colors in a painting are boring and can make your painting less lifelike. The next time you mix two colors stop when they are about 50 percent mixed. Wipe your brush clean and load it on both sides. Apply a good amount of pressure when you make your stroke on the canvass. You should be able to see subtle color variations that will make the object you are painting more lifelike and interesting.
This technique takes some practice but once you get the right mix and pressure you can use it for many elements in your landscape paintings. It works well for foliage, rocks and grasses.
Try it, push yourself out of your comfort zone.
