Hi Everyone!!!

New paintings for October and November have been posted.

There will be another new wildlife painting, "Pea Pod" as well as a fall floral. I'm working on additional paintings for the end of November and December.

October is Bob Ross birthday month and the Bob Ross company has several activities planned. I've posted some below. Also you can follow on their facebook page:

https://www.facebook.com/TheJoyofPaintingWithBobRoss

Bob Ross Three-Day Marathons (72+ Hours!) on YouTube and Twitch, every weekend from Friday to Monday, plus grab cool giveaways too! Just follow us on Twitch.TV here and YouTube here.

Throughout the month we'll check in on a variety of Bob Ross painting classes in Mexico, South Korea, England and Germany. Bob Ross is everywhere! Follow us on social media.

Are you just crazy about new public television painter Nicholas Hankins? We are too! Nic’s going to show you his ten favorite Bob Ross paintings (and explain why he chose them) on the Bob Ross YouTube channel! Get your front row seat. YouTube here.

Nic's hometown in Tennessee has been really damaged badly by Hurricane Helene — so he'd like to do a live painting demo on Twitch TV to raise funds for relief efforts for all those affected by this storm.Saturday October 19 • 7-8:30 pm ET USA • LIVE! on Twitch TV

When registering for a class if you do not receive an almost immediate confirmation please email me at janice@paintingbug.com. It may not have gone through correctly.

Also, if you try to register for a class and it's "Sold Out" email me. I may be able to add another person or let you know if there's a cancellation.

All classes are $50 which includes all supplies.

We will take a short break during class so bring a snack if you'd like. Water, coffee and tea are provided. Also, there is a small refridgerator if you need to keep anything cold. Weather permitting we can have our break on the new deck.

Class times are 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. However, the 1:00 pm end time may vary depending on the painting and pace of the class.

Keep in mind that you'll be going home with a wet oil painting that will need to lay flat in the car. Some people use a large pizza box (bigger than 16 x 20) or you can purchase wet canvas carriers online.

Class size is limited to 6 students.

If you've registered for a class and are unable to attend please let me know as soon as possible so I can release your spot to someone else.

Artist Tip:

"Practice, Practice, Practice".  It is really true that the more you practice the better you become, even if you think you don't have any talent.

The best way to practice is to pick one element at a time and using an old canvas paint that element repeatedly.  When you fill up the canvas, wipe it off, and start again.

You can use the same canvas over and over by wiping off the paint when your done.  You can also paint an old canvas with white acrylic or gesso to use for practice.

The average time for an oil painting to dry, when painted in the wet-on-wet technique, can be two to three weeks to the touch and up to about six months to one year to dry completely.
