Did you know?

Grandma Moses didn't start painting until she was 76 years old.

She is an inspiration to many of us who had to put art on the back burner because of families, jobs and other responsibilities.
Grandma Moses is proof that it's never to late. Here's a link to a great article about her.

Artist Tip:

MountainsFirst of all it's very important to hold the knife correctly. The knife should be held loosely between the thumb and forefinger. DO NOT PUT YOUR FINGER ON THE BLADE, it creates too much pressure.
Pull the paint down very flat on the pallet; load the knife by going in at a 90 degree angle and pull down about 1 inch or so
to get a small even roll of paint on the knife.
When applying the highlights use VERY, VERY,
VERY little pressure. The snow should break as you pull down.

"This is not something you should labor over or worry about.  If painting does nothing else, it should make you happy"
